01The brief

Tell us about the project

The form runs to seven fields and takes about five minutes. It saves the round of emails that would otherwise come first.

What to include

The problem in one paragraph: what is broken, missing or slow today.
Who it is for, and roughly how many of them there are.
What already exists: a codebase, a design file, a spreadsheet holding the whole thing together.
Hard constraints. A launch date, a platform you have to stay on, a rule you have to satisfy.
How you will know it worked.

What happens next

You get a written reply
Read by the studio, answered by the studio. No automatic acknowledgement goes out first, and writing in does not sign you up for anything.

We take a short call
Enough time to separate what you asked for from what you actually need, and to say plainly if it is not work we should take.

You get a scoped estimate
It arrives in writing after the call, and it covers the shape of the build, what it costs, and the assumptions the price depends on.

A brief is read by the person who would do the work. There is no account manager in between, which is why the reply can tell you which parts of the project are hard. Sometimes it tells you the work belongs somewhere else.

That person is Wyatt McPherson. More than ten years building marketing and revenue engines, all of it before the studio existed.

A budget range is not a commitment. It tells us what scale of build to design, so the estimate that comes back is one you can act on without translating it first.

Web & Application Development, Growth & Revenue Engineering, Native App Development, Headless Commerce and Discord & Community Engineering. Under each name below is a sample of what that discipline is asked to build: portals, booking systems, dashboards, configurators, field apps and the rest. The studio’s own products are evidence of that range, and the range extends past them. Based in Canada, working remotely with clients across North America. If your project is none of these, say so in the brief; the reply is a real one either way.
